Tomographic Reconstruction of Homogeneous Objects Using Multi Step Art

چکیده

When for example a blood flow is measured by ultrasound Doppler tomography, part of the received data can be modelled as the Radon transform of the region of reflecting particles. The reconstruction problem thus consists of determining a homogeneous object (that is to determine a function only attaining the values 0 and 1) from Radon transform data. Standard inversion method for the Radon transform could be used, however, they do not explicitly use the fact that the function to be reconstructed is binary, in which case the reconstruction procedure ought to be less sensitive to noise. Here we develop an algorithm that use the a priori information to make reliable reconstructions even in the presence of severe noise.

A Time-Domain Method for Shape Reconstruction of a Target with Known Electrical Properties (RESEARCH NOTE)

This paper uses a method for shape reconstruction of a 2-D homogeneous object with arbitrary geometry and known electrical properties. In this method, the object is illuminated by a Gaussian pulse, modulated with sinusoidal carrier plane wave and the time domains’ footprint signal due to object presence is used for the shape reconstruction. A nonlinear feedback loop is used to minimize the diff...

Tomographic Reconstruction of Homogeneous 2D Geometric Models with Unknown Attenuation

A new method is presented for tomographic reconstruction of objects with homogeneous attenuation. The method is based on parametric representation with Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS) and statistical inversion with a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm. The method recovers the approximate boundary curve shape and the attenuation value of two-dimensional homogeneous objects. The bou...

Multi time-step wavefront reconstruction for tomographic adaptive-optics systems.

In tomographic adaptive-optics (AO) systems, errors due to tomographic wavefront reconstruction limit the performance and angular size of the scientific field of view (FoV), where AO correction is effective. We propose a multi time-step tomographic wavefront reconstruction method to reduce the tomographic error by using measurements from both the current and previous time steps simultaneously. ...

An Introduction to the Use of Fuzzy Mathematics in Archeology (Case Study: Virtual Reconstruction of Togrul Tower by Using Fuzzy Reliability)

Nowadays, the use of fuzzy mathematics and fuzzy logic are increasing in various sciences. Archaeology is one of the sciences that is less attended with the methods of fuzzy mathematics and fuzzy logic. Due to the nature of many archaeological data, however, the use of such methods in archaeology can be beneficial. In this research, it has been tried to explain applications of fuzzy logic and f...

Wavelet Transfonn-Based Multi-Resolution Techniques For Tomographic Reconstruction And Detection

In this thesis we have presented multi-resolution approaches to the problem of reconstruction and detection of objects from tomographic measurements. Such problems are commonly encountered in many applications including medical imaging, non-destructive testing and evaluation, astronomy, geophysics, and oceanography. We have focused our efforts mainly on the case where the tomographic data are s...
